Super-Resolution Imaging - The ELYRA SR-SIM System and Discussion of Other Superresolution Techniques (seminar)

Installation was completed in March 2016 of the campus’ new superresolution microscope, the Zeiss Elyra S.1. This instrument is capable of twice the resolving power of existing confocal and deconvolution fluorescence microscopes.

In this seminar Dr. Benjamin Ng (Imaging Specialist, Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC) will explain the technology behind superresolution structured illumination microscopy (SR-SIM), sample preparation considerations for SR-SIM, as well as briefly explaining other superresolution techniques.

The Zeiss Elyra S.1 is located in the ORD Imaging Core in Life Sciences North. If you are interested in learning more about the instrument, or learning how to use it, please contact Doug Cromey.
