Gus Mouneimne

Dr. Mouneimne is the Director of the Microscopy Center of Excellence at the University of Arizona Cancer Center (which operates under the umbrella of TACMASR). He earned his PhD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, studying the migratory behavior of invading cancer cells in Dr. John Condeelis’ laboratory. During his postdoctoral training with Dr.

Sara Parker

Dr. Sara Parker is a Research Scientist and Assistant Professor, Educator Track, in the department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine. Dr. Parker received a B.S. in Biology from Arizona State (don’t hold it against her!) and her PhD in 2015 after completing her dissertation research on the establishment of morphological polarity in neurons and epithelia in the labs of Dr. Jean Wilson and Dr. Sourav Ghosh at the University of Arizona. She continued as a postdoctoral fellow at U of A in the lab of Dr.

Binh Chau

Mr. Chau is a long-time UA employee and user of the facility who joined the Biological EM facility in February 2021. He is currently responsible for sample prep and sectioning of tissues for EM.

Kurt Gustin

Dr. Gustin provides training on the Zeiss Axio Imager upright fluourescent microscope located in ABC1 on the COM-Phx campus. His laboratory has experience with fluorescent imaging, acquiring z-stacks, deconvolution and image processing and analysis. 

Shenfeng Qiu

Dr. Shenfeng Qiu also trains new users for the Phoenix Biomedical Campus' Biomedical Imaging Core facility (confocal, and two photon microscope). His group has utilized confocal microscopy for multiple fluorophore acquisition, and also has performed in vivo imaging in mouse brain.
