Urs Utzinger

Urs Utzinger received his graduate training in mechanical engineering (M.S. 1989) and biomedical engineering (Ph.D. 1995) from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zürich Switzerland. He was a post doctoral fellow and research associate at the Optical Spectroscopy Laboratory at The University of Texas, Austin. In 2001, he joined the faculty at the University of Arizona and is now an Associate Professor in Biomedical Engineering, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Optical Sciences, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and the BIO5 Institute.

David Elliott

I have been doing light microscopy since 1989 and been doing Transmission Electron Microscopy since 1997. In that time I have done extensive analytical imaging as part of my research and in collaboration with others. I currently teach "Fundamental of Light Microscopy and Electronic Imaging" (Spring - CMM 565a) among many other Graduate classes.

Patty Jansma

Patty Jansma has a BS degree from Penn State and MS degree from University of Georgia. She has  35+ years experience in life science research light and electron microscopy. She currently manages the 2 new Zeiss 880 laser scanning confocal microscopes located in the basement of Marley building. She also supports the ancillary equipment for microscopy sample preparation including a tissue culture facility.
