UA Imaging Cores - summer microscopy workshop

The Summer Microscopy Workshop is open to all UA students and researchers. It is geared towards those who will be using confocal microscopy or superresolution for their research projects. This free two day workshop will consist of lectures in the mornings and instrument demonstrations on Thursday afternoon. Topics to be discussed will be:

2017 AFM User Workshop

Announcing the Annual AFM User Workshop, sponsored by the W.M. Keck Center for Nano-Scale Imaging in the UA Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry. The AFM user workshop is open to all UA students and researchers who will be using Atomic Force microscopy for their research projects. The workshop will be held June 5th - 7th, 2017.  Attendance is limited to 18 and preference will be given to new AFM users.

2017 AZ Imaging & Microanalysis Society annual meeting

The Arizona Imaging & Microanalysis Society annual meeting will be held at ASU. With an expanded schedule covering two days there are ample opportunities to network and learn.

ASU Cryo EM Workshop (Jan 2017)

The Cryo EM workshop will be happening at ASU in January 2017. The new FEI Titan Krios has been delivered and will hopefully be up and running at the end of this year. This will be a fantastic opportunity to have your students (or yourselves) trained in the basics of cryo EM.

2016 Imaging Cores Summer Workshop: Scanning Electron Microscopy Imaging and Characterization

 

This Workshop Series supports training on the imaging/characterization tools available in Imaging Cores - Marley (formerly USIF) and Imaging Cores - Kuiper. The workshop will be held Tuesday August 16th - Wednesday August 17th 2016.

Aug 2016 - Introduction to Scientific Digital Images workshop

The Introduction to Scientific Digital Images workshop will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 8:30am to 1pm in the College of Pharmacy Skaggs Building, room 325. The workshop provides a foundation for making good scientific and ethical decisions for working with digital image data. Open to students, staff, appointed professionals, faculty, and invited off-campus guests.

SICM/AFM Workshop

Park Systems is sponsoring a SICM/AFM Half Day Workshop on at the UA.; This is free to attend and open to all UA researchers! Presentations will be given on their new AFM software as well as the SICM technique and applications. We are even lucky enough to have Dr. Park (the CEO and founder of Park Systems) here to give one of the talks! They will also be doing a demonstration of SICM on their NX10 AFM system.
