The Advanced Imaging Center (AIC) at Janelia Farms has opened applications for a Bootcamp Course "Optical Imaging Across Biological Length Scales: From Nanometers to Millimeters". The 12-day Bootcamp Course will be held in November 2020. There is no registration fee, and Janelia will cover lodging and food costs for all participants. The Bootcamp Course will focus on biological query/hypothesis-driven utilization of technologies, training participants how to formulate quantitative experiments on various instruments.

The course takes participants all the way from the fundamentals of optical microscopy through to state-of-the-art, multi-dimensional wide field fluorescence, confocal, multiphoton, multispectral, deconvolution, super-resolution and light-sheet microscopy systems. Participants will learn through lectures, hands-on exercises, problem sets, demonstrations and discussions, specifically designed to drive home the principles and applications of modern microscopy.
