The core facilities at ASU & NAU are accessible to UA users at internal rates?

In June of 2020 the three state universities entered into an ABOR approved memorandum of understanding regarding centrally-managed core facilities. This has resulted in several things.

  • The creation of the Arizona Cores Network website representing the core facilities on all three campuses.
  • There is now a partnership landing page for the core facilities from all three universities within iLab. To log into iLab, use your UA NetID.
  • The agreement means that each university has agreed to charge the other state institutions the same internal rate for services from centrally-managed core facilities (not goods, which are often subsidized internally). One caveat, core facilities that are not centrally managed (i.e., those managed by colleges, departments, centers) will be deciding if they want to opt-into this agreement on a case-by-case basis. Websites will indicate which cores offer the internal-rate pricing.
