Free, open source software for controlling light microscopes is available?

MicroManager is free, open source software for controlling motorized microscopes, stages, filter wheels, shutters, cameras, COM ports & TLL, light sources, etc. MicroManager runs as a plug-in for ImageJ (also free). Because ImageJ is cross-platform, this gives the opportunity (with some caveats) to control hardware using Windows, MacOS or Linux. For more information, see: https://micro-manager.org/
