The UA makes available free 50GB cloud-based file storage (BOX) for employees?

Do you have large data files that you need to share with collaborators? A free UA BOX account will enable you to upload files and then provide access to specific collaborators. Files/folders can be shared with other UA employees or with anyone in the world based on the permissions you set. The files/folders can be accessed from a home computer, or on an Android or iOS device using an app.

An additional 1TB of space was made available to UA employees through Microsoft Office 365's OneDrive. There is an upper limit on file sizes of 15GB.

UA students have access to Google Drive (Google Workspace for Education) with 15GB storage. Faculty & Staff can opt-in to Workspace, with the one limitation being that they will not have an email account in Workspace.

Please note: there are special UA BOX accounts that are HIPPA compliant (for confidential medical/clinical information that may have identifiable patient information). Putting identifiable patient information on an incorrectly secured file sharing site is a violation of US law. Other regulated data includes student information (FERPA) and data that is under US government export control (such as ITAR). Be careful what you share!
