Cryo-EM (ICE) Workshop for Advanced Materials (Oak Ridge National Lab, TN) July 2024

The 2nd International Cryo-EM (ICE) Workshop for Advanced Materials which will be held from July 24-26, 2024 (right before M&M2024), at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in Tennessee, USA. This three-day, in-person workshop features invited speakers discussing advancements and applications of cryogenic Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (STEM) in materials science, accompanied by short lab demonstrations. Topics covered include cryogenic STEM imaging and spectroscopy in the context of energy materials, quantum materials, and ongoing developments aimed at achieving high-stage stability and superior spatial, momentum, and spectral resolutions. A half-day lab demonstration will take place at the CNMS Facility at ORNL, showcasing various cryogenic microscopes and specimen preparation tools.

Information and registration can be found here; https://iceworkshop.ornl.gov/. Registration closes May 5th. We hope to see you there!
