There are service labs for Histology and Immunohistochemistry.
For labs that work with fixed/snap frozen tissues or cell pellets, sometimes paraffin or frozen section histology is just what they need. There are a number of routine and special stains that are very useful for demonstrating changes in the sample. In addition, computer-controlled immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization and/or immunohistochemistry can be useful ways to learn more from the sample. There are two service labs to assist you:
- Comparative Pathology Core Lab (AHSC building)
- Tissue Acquisition and Cellular/Molecular Analysis Shared Resource (UA Cancer Center)
