Dr. Patricia Kang is a postdoctoral researcher, primarily supporting the LaserChron's scanning electron microscope lab at the University of Arizona. She completed her PhD at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, focusing on the influence of fluid-rock interactions on element transfer in subduction zones through analyzing compositional records of metamorphic minerals and their host rocks. Before joining the LaserChron center, she was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the JEOL JXA-8530Plus Electron Probe Microanalyzer at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
