Microscope Workshop (Albany, NY) June 9-13, 2025

The Wadsworth Center (NY Dept of Health) is offering a no-cost, five day course (June 9-13, 2025) covering the basics of light microscopy and image analysis techniques. The course will include morning lectures and afternoon laboratory sessions that allow theories and concepts to be explored and put into practice in a hands-on setting.

Topics

  • The microscope - light paths, image formation, cameras, lasers
  • Image processing - AI, visualization, ethical considerations, deconvolution
  • Specialized microscopy techniques - fluorescence, confocal, super-resolution, lightsheet, FRAP, TIRF
