MSA Undergraduate Research Scholarship Program

Are you an undergraduate student using microscopy in your research? The Microscopy Society of America (MSA) is accepting applications for its Undergraduate Research Scholarship Program, which funds undergraduate students pursuing innovative research using any microscopy technique.

This scholarship can help you gain hands-on research experience and take your project to the next level.

Scholarship Highlights:
•    Maximum award: $3,000
•    Supports: student stipends, supplies, and limited travel expenses
•    Application deadline: December 1, 2026 (for awards to be used in 2027)

For more than 25 years, MSA has supported undergraduate research and helped students build skills, expand professional networks, and explore careers in imaging and analytical sciences. Thanks to the generous support of MSA members and partners, more than half of all applicants receive funding each year.

If you're a full-time undergraduate student with a research project in mind, we encourage you to apply today.
